Descartes

"In order to seek truth, it is necessary once in the course of our life, to doubt, as far as possible, of all things."

  1. As I commented in a homework, truth can differ from one person to another, and according to experiences and beliefs, the truth for someone might be the contrary than the true for someone else.
Douabting things is a way of reaching for the truth, since doubt creates curosity into our minds, and then we try tu satisfy our curosity by searching for an answer to those doubts.
But scepticism is no the same as doubting, since it makes it harder or almost imposible to find the truth.
Descartes is right with his statement. If we didnt doubt things, we would have never searched for answers.

  2. I totally agree with this idea because if everything that you know you are certain that is the truth, then you will take everything for garanteed and it will not be necesary to be interested in anything because there is no need to search for the truth because you already have it.
